Celebrating With Neiman Marcus

Neiman Marcus 100 Year Anniversary Celebration

Last Thursday and Friday, Susan and I attended the Neiman Marcus 100-year anniversary celebration.  The festivities began at the Cotton Bowl on Thursday evening for a “Pardner Party”, the likes of which these two northern girls had never seen!  From the mechanical bull to the pig races, the two of us had never experienced this style of party.  Our Neiman Marcus hosts created the impossible:  an intimate party for a thousand people.  The warm environment and gracious culture were evident from CEO Burt Tansky and President Karen Katz to all buyers and merchants lucky enough to have been invited.  The personal touch that Neimans associates provide every customer was ever-so-present that night at the Cotton Bowl!

On Friday evening there was a black tie event held at the downtown store encompassing all six floors.  Each level had a separate band, art installation, and international cuisine.  The highlights for us (in addition to getting all dolled up) were the rotating couture gowns displayed on the first floor as well as the rare museum-quality jewels amassed from around the world in honor of the occasion.  The ambiance was like being at a fin-de-siecle New Year’s Eve ball.

There’s no store and no host like Neiman Marcus. We are proud of our association with Neimans throughout our entire ten years in business and look forward to inviting them to our 100-year anniversary.
