Charla Krupp: How Not To Look Old

Sometimes in business you encounter someone who inspires or enlightens you in some lasting way. It’s not necessarily someone whom you see often, but whenever you do, the energy is kinetic.

Charla Krupp is such a force. As a former fashion editor at Shop Magazine, she was always supportive of White + Warren. In fact, she was the first editor to cover our luxurious loungewear.

And now, she’s written THE ultimate book for all women, How Not to Look Old. Susan and I were at her book signing party the other night at the uber fabulous Gramercy Hotel rooftop bar. It was like a class reunion filled with friends from the fashion world.

I’m addicted to the book and love learning some new and easy tricks to feel good and look great. You go Charla, we’re so proud of you!

Holiday Escape to Mexico City

Holiday Escape to Mexico City

Having been there many times, I can definitely say Mexico City is a an exciting place to be with lots to do. As it happened, both Barbara Warren and I were there at the same time during the Holidays. Barb had heard from a friend that a definite “must see” while in Mexico City, is a visit to the house of architect Luis Barragan. He has other sites in Mexico City, but his house is the place to start. We found when we looked it up in the travel guide his house became a UNESCO world heritage site in 2004. When I went to visit the house, I ran into Barb visiting at the same time- a totally unexpected meeting! The house is amazing, with airy spaces, beautiful views, and very pink walls. I always find visual inspiration in Mexico, from modernist architecture to the sights and sounds of the zocalos (town squares). But don’t forget to bring your cashmere if you go, it can get cool in the evenings!
