I have always been a fan of all things fashion, pop culture, and trend-setting. I grew up watching shows like 90210, The O.C. and Grey’s Anatomy and learned a whole new vernacular from cult movies like Clueless. So, when I found out that the O.C.’s creator Josh Schwartz had returned with a new show called Gossip Girl, I was- needless to say- thrilled. The show is based on the best-selling Gossip Girl books by Cecily von Ziegesar, and takes place in an affluent prep school in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The show is structured around an online gossip blog, which lets the A-list students keep up with the latest drama. Like those earlier shows, Gossip Girl offers its share of gorgeously outfitted characters, opulent settings and tempestuous encounters. Even more than its predecessors, Gossip Girl is setting trends with characters who are outfitted in only the best designer apparel. I was extra-excited when the stylist for the show asked me (as White + Warren’s public relations coordinator) for our luxurious cashmere for her characters. In the first episode alone the styley, backstabbing socialites sported W+W items such as the travel wrap and cardigans in bright pop colors. To see it yourself, keep your eyes open for more White +Warren to come on The CW’s Gossip Girl Tuesday nights at 9/8 pm central.
